Tips: How to Have Fun in a Concert

Concerts are adrenaline-pumping musical events that feature bands and individual musical artists. Every year, thousands of concerts are held all over the world. These events give you the chance to enjoy music and party with friends. Sometimes, however, especially when it’s your first time, you end up expecting too much and getting disappointed.

I was working in my kitchen this past weekend….my garbage disposal was shot.  Thinking…”Man, I had an awesome time at that concert the other night, I need to write a post on it”.  So I stopped installing my new InSinkErator disposal (which is a great disposal btw) and decided to make a list of how to have more fun at your next concert….

No worries, though, as there are simple tips that you can follow to make sure your next concert experience is a fun and memorable one.

1. The first thing you have to do is make sure that you know the artist or band performing.

If you’re going to the concert just to be with friends, you have to brush up on your knowledge about the artist or band performing. You need to familiarize yourself with the kind of music they play. You need to know some of their songs. Going to a concert and not knowing the songs being performed is simply not right. You won’t enjoy if you cannot relate to the music!

2. Make sure you are prepared before going to the concert.

Some concertgoers bring a bottle of water when watching these live musical shows. This is particularly the case if the concert venue is outdoors. So before you leave your home, make sure you have everything you need: aside from a bottle of water, also prepare your mobile phone & charger/powerbank, car & house keys, and camera (if you have one and plan to use it). Of course, you should also make sure that you have enough cash with you. Likewise, you might want to bring an extra shirt or blouse to change into after the concert.

3. You can drink, yes. But do not get drunk.

While some people equate concerts with alcohol, you don’t really need it to enjoy the music – if you really like the artist or band performing. You can drink some alcohol for fun, but don’t overdo it to the point that you get drunk. Aside from the fact that you won’t enjoy the concert when you’re drunk, you’re also sure to piss off some concertgoers if you start getting rowdy or if you draw too much attention to yourself. Besides, wouldn’t you want to remember every memorable moment of your concert experience? This is something hard to do if you’re drunk.

4. Dance all your cares away.

Have fun, sway to the music, and dance. Dance, dance, dance, and dance! You’ll find out later on just how good dancing feels!
